Discovering Value

My life has been full of worthwhile pursuits. I have been teaching and coaching for nearly two decades. I have road tripped across the continent, through Europe, and in Africa. I have completed ultra-distance runs and iron-distance triathlons. I have hiked, surfed, fished, and paddle boarded in beautiful places. I have a loving family, incredible friends, a supportive wife, and great dogs. I have a degree in History, a Master’s in Education, and I was a college athlete. I live simply and comfortably.

I have also quietly struggled with feeling worthy. I was not good enough. I did not deserve. I felt like my achievements did not matter. I felt lost. I did not want to feel like this anymore.

I eventually chose to feel worthy. I did the work and I had a moment of self- awareness that allowed me to establish the framework that is Worthwhile Pursuit. I chose to feel worthy by asking myself every day, “WHERE are you?”, and then take action to be WHERE I want to be.

I want to use my experiences, my leadership, and vulnerabilities to help you with your worthwhile pursuits. My goal is help you choose WHERE you can find more value in yourself and add more value to those around you.

“I think I have learned more on road trips than I have learned just about anywhere else in my Life. Its like a classroom. Its an office. Its a place where my mind catches up with me. Its a place where I get far enough away from my past that I’m not worried about it. And something about that makes me not even worried about my damn future and I can be present. And then all of a sudden, my past and my future all makes a hell of a lot more sense. Road trips are so good for us in the head and the heart and the spirit.” – Matthew McConaughey
